The work consisted of eight short looped videos streamed online, featuring two of my fellow students gently releasing a balloon. Each balloon hovered on the verge of flight — released yet still present — suspended in the threshold between control and freedom. The repetition of this act took on a ritualistic character – a silent representation of potential and transformation. The work explored the early possibilities of transmitting emotion and ephemeral gestures through the internet.
